Avengers: Infinity War - Every Character Ranked By How Likely They Are To Die

2. Captain America

Avengers Infinity War Captain America
Marvel Studios

Like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans has made no attempt to hide the fact that his MCU contract is coming to an end. And while there have been rumours that he could extend it, that seems more like fan-bait than anything legitimate. After all, Evans wants to move on as a film-maker and being tied to this sort of franchise simply won't allow that in the long-term.

And even more pertinently, Cap's death under Thanos' boot would be the perfect end to his arc, which has been defined by him standing up against bullies and impossible odds and inspiring others to do the same. His sacrifice in Infinity War will be the Agent Coulson moment of the film and while we'll see him again (in the past) in Avengers 4, you should also expect his death to last unlike what happened in the comics.

1. The Collector

Marvel Studios

Just as Glenn Close was wasted in the MCU as Nova Prime, Benicio Del Toro hasn't had nearly enough to do as The Collector, whose major input to the franchise so far has been explaining what the Infinity Stones are and reintroducing Howard The Duck as a viable character without being laughed out of the building.

Unfortunately for him, he's still got an Infinity Stone, despite losing the Power Stone in Guardians Of The Galaxy, because the Warriors Three left the Aether with him for "safe keeping" at the end of The Dark World.

The suggestion for Infinity War is that Thanos will go after the Reality Stone and take The Collector's head too, since leaving someone so knowledgable about the Stones alive would be foolish. In other words, he's done for.
