21. The Hulk's "Performance Issues"

After Heimdall rescues The Hulk by sending him crash-landing to New York City, Bruce Banner spends the rest of the movie struggling to turn back into his king-sized alter ego, just when Earth needs him the most.

Though it's a fairly transparent tactic to keep The Avengers' collective power set in check in their first skirmish against Thanos, Hulk being sidelined is at least played for some solid laughs, as Banner makes numerous attempts to turn green and is promptly rejected.

Banner's best moment occurs during the climactic Wakanda battle, where he begs The Hulk to show up while he fights Cull Obsidian (Terry Notary) inside the Hulkbuster armour.

Hulk responds with a decisive, "Nooo!", to which Banner shouts, "Oh, screw you, you big green a**hole, I'll do it myself!" and improvises a way to obliterate Obsidian with the Hulkbuster.

It's pretty novel seeing Banner unable to rely on The Hulk, but hopefully he'll make a prompt return in Avengers 4 all the same.
