Being freed from the Raft by Captain America. Since then, we've discovered that he took a deal with the CIA and General Ross to sign the Sokovia Accords for his freedom (albeit under house arrest anyway) for the good of his family.

We'll see what that means in Ant-Man And The Wasp, but by the look of it, he's not sticking to the terms of his imprisonment very well. And he's likely to be one of the keys to undoing Thanos' snap when the time comes thanks to his knowledge of and access to the multiverse.

Will He Be Back?

You bet your size-changing ass he will. As soon as he's dealt with the Ghost threat in Ant-Man And The Wasp, Scott Lang is coming back to help his former allies in the fight against Thanos. And he's bringing the key technology.
