5. It's More Fantastic Four Than Avengers

What's interesting is the story line Marvel are choosing to adapt isn't really an Avengers one - it's much more focussed on the Fantastic Four. Unfortunately the movie rights to Marvel's First Family still lie with Fox, who are planning to reboot the franchise in 2015 (with a film that's already wrapped and, yet, has not had any promotional materials released for yet). It's going to take rather a lot of retrofitting to change The Infinity War comic book into The Infinity War movie. The basic plot of the comic involves a bad guy using the Infinity Stones to populate the Earth with evil doppelgängers, with a goateed version of Mister Fantastic detonating a gamma bomb at Four Freedoms Plaza, something only contained when the good Invisible Woman shows up. Galactus, that big purple dude on a flying chair (and traditionally an FF villain) shows up to try and nab off with the Stones, as does the iconic Doctor Doom. The Avengers play their parts, too, but they're not the focus.
