Avengers Infinity War Movie: 5 Things You Need To Know

4. It Involves All The Cosmic Powers

Galactus isn't the only cosmic villain who swings up to Earth to see what all the commotion is about. If Guardians Of The Galaxy widened the purview of the Marvel Cinematic Universe a little then The Infinity War will take it astronomical. Whilst the comic book miniseries involves a whole host of the regular superheroes who've been busying up the big screens so far, there's also a whole other corner of the fictional universe that comes into play - space gods, celestials, all that truly bonkers stuff that, weirdly, was created in the acid-tinged sixties... The Celestials themselves showed up briefly in Guardians Of The Galaxy, as Benicio del Toro's Collector described the creation of the Infinity Stones. The story also involves the intervention of Eternity, the de facto leader of the abstract entities collectively known as the Cosmic Powers of the Marvel Universe. One such Cosmic Power is The Living Tribunal, who also makes an appearance in The Infinity War, who oversees and maintains balance in the realities that constitute the Marvel Comics Multiverse. Given Doctor Strange's supposed journeys into the mystical, it's possible the next Avengers could get similarly trippy.
