Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting All 76 Characters

42. Thor (Chris Hemsworth)

Avengers Infinity War Thor
Walt Disney Studios

Status: Confirmed

As the end of Thor: Ragnarok confirmed, Thor is now the leader of the nomadic Asgardian tribe, searching for a new world - but before he gets anywhere near achieving that goal, he's already come into contact with Thanos, who will presumably have been drawn to their ship by the presence of the Tesseract on it.

Since the trailer shows Thor floating unconscious through space and what appears to be lots of dead Asgardians lying around in one shot, it's fairly safe to assume that that first meeting isn't going to go well for Thor. But he'll get his moment to shine alongside his new Guardians Of The Galaxy allies.

41. Loki (Tom Hiddleston)

Avengers Infinity War Loki Tesseract
Marvel Studios

Status: Confirmed

After stealing the Tesseract from Odin's vault in Thor: Ragnarok, Loki will seemingly hand it over to Thanos (or will appear to - who's to say that isn't a projection we saw in the trailer?), which would seem to suggest he'll be working with his old paymaster again.

Loki's role in all of this is a little unclear, with the worryingly most likely answer being that Thanos takes the Tesseract and kills him. He's got little else to do other than sit by Thanos and then change his allegiance once more, but we've been there too many times now.

40. Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson)

Thor Ragnarok Valkyrie
Marvel Studios

Status: Unconfirmed

As long as the film opens with Thanos coming face to face with the Asgardians on Thor's new ship, there's no way Valkyrie can't appear. She might not be involved for long (she won't be killed off), but it would make sense that she leads the survivors of that confrontation away as Thor tries to fight.

39 & 38. Korg & Miek (Taika Waititi)

Thor Ragnarok Korg
Marvel Studios

Status: Unconfirmed

As with Valkyrie's presence, both Kirg and Miek are on the same Asgardian refugee ship, and we definitely have to see what their fate is after the Ragnarok post-credits brought them into Thanos' gaze.

It would also be a travesty if we don't get to see more of Korg's humour before the action kicks off and everything gets a bit glum.
