16. Peter Quill/Star Lord (Chris Pratt)

Status: Confirmed

Finally, the leader of the Guardians Of The Galaxy is going to get his chance for a snark-off with Tony Stark, though he's first going to meet Thor along with his fellow Guardians.

From leaked footage, it seems that the Guardians will witness the destruction of Xandar as Thanos seeks the Power Stone and will also visit the Collector to try and stop Thanos getting the Space Stone, but that won't end well. We can also expect Quill to be right among the action alongside Iron Man when it comes to the "final fight."

15. Gamora (Zoe Saldana)

Status: Confirmed

As confirmed by the trailer, Gamora remains at Peter Quill's side, presumably less distracted by their mounting sexual tension this time out as she learns of her adoptive father's plan to take over (or destroy) the galaxy.

Seeing her get a chance to take Thanos to task for his treatment of her is a big positive for the movie (even if their conflict is left to be resolved in Avengers 4 properly). Either her of Nebula striking the fatal blow on Thanos would represent the kind of poetic justice film-makers NEVER seem capable of resisting, too.

14. Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper)

Status: Confirmed

Rocket's appearance is already assured and the prospect of him potentially teaming up with the Hulk for a new bromance is easily one of the best things about the whole movie and its sequel.

It's hard to imagine that there'll be too much space in Infinity War to really give him a lot to do, but expect the usual snark and for his intellect to come in handy as part of the great meeting of minds of Doctor Strange and Iron Man.
