3. The Last Hour Is Pure, Incredible Blockbuster Film-Making

There is absolutely no way you have experienced anything in a cinema like the final hour of Infinity War. It manages to balance THREE action-heavy sequences in a perfectly balanced way, with almost all of the main MCU characters in one way or another and lots of emotional complexity behind the action.

This is the kind of blockbuster spectacle that we should be absolutely thankful to the MCU for. Thanks to the ten years of success we've had, the Russos were handed a mighty budget and they have squeezed every last penny out of it in that breathless, blistering hour of action, emotional devastation and stunning shocks.

It is absolutely stunning and it would be way too easy to stray into platitudes and hyperbole, but it's fair to say that even when the film strays below a 5 star rating, that entire triptych sequence drags it right back up there.
