Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Reactions - 7 Ups & 3 Downs

2. The CGI Looks Wildly Inconsistent

Look, in a movie with a scope and scale this big, the technical aspects are never going to be perfect, but it's still pretty surprising that a movie that probably cost around $300 million looks so visually rough in places.

Perhaps the most offensive shot of all shows Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and the Wakandan fleet on a hovercraft, and the actors are so awkwardly composited into the digital craft and backdrop that the whole shot just looks laughable, even ugly.

The battle sequence on Wakanda also looks like it might suffer from similar problems to Black Panther's finale, with an excess of things happening on the screen at once causing the digital characters to look overly blurry and lack the weightiness of an actual physical thing.

You can't even really say "it'll look better in the final movie", because six weeks from release, this thing is probably pretty close to being locked.
