1. The Totally Flat Star-Lord One-Liner

Though the trailer should be lauded for not laying the humour on too thickly, one of the main quips sadly didn't work at all, and it's unfortunately during our first glimpse of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Iron Man meeting up.

Peter Quill tells Stark, "Let's talk about this plan of yours. I think it's good, except...it sucks, so let me do the plan, and that way, it might be really good", as Peter Parker (Tom Holland), Drax (Dave Bautista) and Stark look on with a certain exasperation.

The idea behind the gag is neat enough, but execution-wise it just feels a little dumb and low-effort. That's not to say Star-Lord shouldn't be a total goofball, but hopefully the best squabbling between the Avengers has been saved for the full movie.

And now that the complaints are done with, let's celebrate everything it got right...
