2. Project X
Another movie that completely passed me by. This was one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. Nothing happens. I mean really, the whole movie is one big party of emptiness: there is no plot, no character development or no message. It's like a trashy mashup of Superbad and Jersey Shore which offers absolutely nothing new or interesting - it is not even funny. The only thing I laughed at was the notion that high school girls look like they do in Project X - a completely hilarious notion. I haven't even mentioned that every character is a stereotype. The fat friend, the crazy popular hunk, the weird geeky camera kid. To me, its success has made no sense. Obviously the movie is not striving for any awards but surely the director could of introduced some original ideas or a few surprises along the way. My personal choice for worst movie of the year, it claims second place because of its fairly positive reviews and ridiculously high gross. I can already see the sequel being called Project XXX. How clever.
