1. Ted
Seth MacFarlane is one of those guys you either love or hate so depending on which side you're on, Ted is either the funniest film of 2012 or the most overrated. As a lot of MacFarlane fans argue, people who didn't like this movie just don't like MacFarlane or any of his work. In fact, one of my friends even suggested beforehand that I wouldn't like this movie simply because I enjoy South Park. I hate these arguments being thrown around. A movie is a movie. If you don't go watch the upcoming Man Of Steel because you 'hate' Christopher Nolan, who is missing out? The thing is, even if this article reads like an anti-MacFarlane piece, I'm actually a fan. I used to love Johnny Bravo and some episodes of Family Guy can be absolutely hilarious. The problem with Ted is that it's less Family Guy and more The Cleveland Show, which in my opinion is garbage. Ted felt like one big missed opportunity. Similar to Prometheus, Ted also boasted a decent cast and chose to waste them. The novelty of Ted wears off after 10 minutes with the recycled jokes
(fat jokes, toilet humor and extreme language) feeling like nothing but an r-rated Adam Sandler movie. The characters were pathetic and as for the ending, could it be any more original?
