Bane vs Gordon In Child 44 Trailer

The movie is based on Tom Rob Smith's 2008 novel of the same name.

The big screen adaptation of Child 44 is described as a politically-charged serial killer thriller set in 1953 Soviet Russia. The movie chronicles the crisis of conscience for secret police agent Leo Demidov (Tom Hardy), who loses status, power and home when he refuses to denounce his own wife, Raisa (Noomi Rapace), as a traitor. Exiled from Moscow to a grim provincial outpost, Leo and Raisa join forces with General Mikhail Nesterov (Gary Oldman) to track down a serial killer who preys on young boys. Their quest for justice threatens a system-wide cover-up enforced by Leo€™s psychopathic rival Vasili (Joel Kinnaman), who insists €œThere is no crime in Paradise.€ It's an interesting sounding premise, and one many people will be familiar with due to the fact that movie is based on the 2008 novel of the same name. That was written by Tom Rob Smith, and was the first in a trilogy about disgraced MGB agent Leo Demidov, who investigates a series of horrific child murders during Joseph Stalin€™s reign of the Soviet Union. Child 44 will reunite Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman after they faced off as Bane and Commissioner Jim Gordon in The Dark Knight Rises. Hardy and Noomi Rapace were also seen together recently in The Drop. Safe House helmer Daniel Espinosa is directing. The movie is set to be released on April 17th. Watch the trailer below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uia6y9SRsj4
