3. Danny Elfman: Musical Genius
The score is brilliant in these films. Just like the plot, the music is mysterious and exciting with melancholic undertones to suit the characters and action as necessary. Tim Burton has Danny Elfman do the music for nearly every single one of his films and there is a very good reason for that! He does an incredible job of capturing the essence of what it is right to the very core. He assists the audience to feel everything that Tim Burton wants us to feel in terms of characters, plot, or action at all of the right moments. Elfman's music is very dramatic and theatrical, only furthering the intensity of these fantastical films.
