Batman: 10 Worst Casting Decisions

7. Chris O'Donnell as Dick Grayson/Robin in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin

chris o'donnell Chris O'Donnell's performance as Dick Grayson is more tolerable in Batman Forever than in Batman & Robin. Grayson is younger and is enduring from the tragedy of the death of his family in Batman Forever so it is understandable why the character is initially rebellious in that film. However, O'Donnell comes across as irritating at in Batman & Robin. In Batman & Robin, O'Donnell's character is whiny and pestering as he has disagreements with Bruce Wayne over his role as the partner to Batman. By the point in the film, when Wayne, played by George Clooney, tells Grayson he is going out alone as Batman and Dick disagrees with him, O'Donnell's performance is very frustrating to continue watching and the character is all the more annoying.
