1. Bring Back Tim Burton
The most important thing that WB can do to put their batman movies back into the realm of greatness, is to bring back the man who the greatest movies in the series. Burton's vision of Gotham had the perfect mixture of dark and stylish visuals to make the material work on screen. It'll be a long time before anyone comes even close to making a super hero movie as gritty and serious as Burton's Batman movies, so Warners should be doing everything they can to get more like them made. Right now Burton is working on a revamp of the ailing Superman franchise with Nicolas Cage rumored to be taking over the role of the big blue boyscout. If that project turns out to be as good as it sounds, maybe he can come back to the Batman series and revitalize that. It might be a bit too much to hope for, but maybe Burton could even work towards bringing the two characters together in a World's Finest style team up movie.
