Batman: Every Live-Action Catwoman Ranked Worst To Best

It’s not that Anne Hathaway’s performance was bad, it’s just that her performance is quite forgettable. Hathaway’s performance as Catwoman would’ve been the standout role in The Dark Knight Rises if it wasn’t so overshadowed by the amazing performance Tom Hardy gave Bane or if she wasn’t so sidelined at times in the picture.

Hathaway’s version of the Cat is more skilled and poised in her methodology, staying true to the comic book version of Selina. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t get more screen time with her character, as the actress had amazing chemistry with Christian Bale’s Batman and had some of the best fight scenes in the film. Her Catwomen could’ve easily been higher on this list if we had gotten to spend more time with her.

The Oscar winner's serious portrayal of Selina Kyle felt appropriate for the The Dark Knight Rises' darker tone and grimness. Impressively she was able to deliver classic Catwoman lines that could’ve come off as cheesy, but Hathaway’s class and grittiness fit in well within the universe crafted by Christopher Nolan.
