Batman: Every Live-Action Robin Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Brenton Thwaites - Dick Grayson (Titans)
Let's continue the trend of discussing Titans, as up next is Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson.
Titans shows a Robin who has detached himself from Bruce Wayne with the hopes of striking out on his own and escaping from the shadow of the Dynamic Duo. Seeing a version of Robin who operates without Batman was a great way to deepen the character. The second season even saw him grow into his own as the leader of the Titans, which was a solid direction for Grayson.
Thwaites' Robin hits a lot of the same points as the previous entry, such as darkness and violence. But, he adds a healthy dose of heroism and leadership to the mix, capturing the more traditionally positive aspects of the character. While he can certainly be a bit too "edgy" and even dull at times, there's a lot to love here.
This Dick Grayson simultaneously elicited a sense of youth and experience. He wasn't quite a superhero in his own right, but he was a veteran crime fighter, which made him feel like a two-sided coin, one side being the immature Boy Wonder and the other being the weathered warrior and future Nightwing.
