Batman: Every Screen Batmobile Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Batman And Robin

The Batmobile
Warner Bros.

Designing a batmobile is a delicate process, and much more of a tightrope than you think it would be. Too much in one direction and it's laughably hardcore, too much in the other direction and it's way too gaudy. Guess which side the Batman And Robin batmobile falls into.

The problem with both Shumacher batmobiles is that they're busy. Simply too much is crammed into the design of these cars that the eye ends up forgetting it. Except the Forever batmobile at least had the bat symbols on the wheels, which IS something striking that you'll remember.

No such luck here.

While aspects of its design are good on paper, a few of them needed to go so that others could shine through. not too much to resort to abject minimalism, but enough so that you'll remember more about it.

But then, maybe it's better to be incredibly busy and over-designed. At least that's something to talk about and latch onto when you look deeper into it. Which definitely puts the Batman And Robin batmobile just ahead of bottom place.
