Batman: Every Screen Batmobile Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Batman Forever

The Batmobile
Warner Bros. Pictures

A batmobile with fins is near the BOTTOM? What gives? Yes, that design feature should be on all batmobiles, but there is a point where it just can't save the rest of the design.

The Schumacher Batman movies don't fail just because they're campy. They fail because they are so EXTREMELY campy in a movie series that spent the first two movies being grounded and serious, causing a tonal whiplash that the films never recover from.

All of which is personified in the designs of the last two batmobiles in this quadrilogy.

The design of the Batman Forever batmobile isn't AS gaudy as the next entry, and the ribbed sides and LED chasis are good ideas in theory, they just aren't implemented well. And on top of that, the batmobile in this movie just doesn't leave a lasting impression. To the point where I had to remind myself constantly to put it here.

John Tibbetts is a novelist in theory, a Whatculture contributor in practice, and a nerd all around who loves talking about movies, TV, anime, and video games more than he loves breathing. Which might be a problem in the long term, but eh, who can think that far ahead?
