Batman Film Reboot: 5 Ways It Can Top Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy

4. Improve The Combat

Christian-Bale-Batman-Tom-Hardy-Bane-fight-Dark-Knight-Rises This was something that really got under a lot of peoples skin. The combat situations in The Dark Knight Trilogy are to say the least poor. Much more was expected of Nolan to show how dangerous opponent Batman can really be. Let's not forget all the training Bruce does to prepare himself to become the bat, and the best we got more often than not was (see above) elbow to the face, punch to the face and maybe a few other moves if he felt like it. Batman is supposed to an expert in all forms of Martial arts, even inventing a few himself along the way. So to see his badassery limited to just elbows and punches really was a let down to the character. This is again where Batman Begins excelled in this aspect the most from Batman using a blend of combat for one on one situations, and stealth for when he was surrounded many foes. But let's not forget he could take down a few enemies when he had to e.g. the League of Shadows sequence at the end 'I can't beat two of your pawns?' was a great example of this. We need more of that! Batman has always had a certain degree of arrogance to him, he knows he can take down multiple foes with ease. Give us a Batman who we believe could really do that. Complaints about the mobility of the suit have been raised before by Bale, and other actors before him to don the cape and cowl. So maybe get back to Batman's roots in that sense too. Batman is known for preparation before embarking on any mission, he varies between wearing armor and sometimes none at all depending on the mission. A cross between a Armour esque suit and the simple light robes of the Batman comics would be a welcome sight. This is again another fairly simple problem to fix with the new reboot. In terms of some of the advanced fighting sequences we see today in film, making Batman look like a total bad ass when it comes to taking down a few thugs or whoever they may be should be a priority.
