Batman Future Films: 8 Big Questions That Demand Answers

1. Who Will Be The Next Villain To Get The Big Screen Treatment?

As stated in the previous point, Batman has a rogue's gallery that is probably the best in all of comics. Because of this, despite appearing in seven movies in the last twenty-five years - all of which featured multiple villains bar one - there are still plenty of his foes who are yet to make it into a film. When considering what villain will pop up next one has to think about what sort of tone Batman's new films will potentially take. If they are going to be adventures with more fantastic elements (and in a post Batman Vs. Superman world this is very possible) then there is a chance that we may see larger than life villains such as Man-Bat, Killer Croc or even Clayface getting their chance on screen. Alternatively, if we are going to see Batman in more grounded stories, then we could be seeing the likes of Black Mask, Hush, or Professor Strange stepping up to the plate. Another popular Batman villain yet to appear on the big screen is Harley Quinn. Since first appearing on Batman: The Animated Series, Harley has gone on to become something of a fan favorite, featuring in a plethora of Batman media (comics games, animated shows) and inspiring more saucy cosplay outfits than should probably be legal. If the Joker is to make a comeback to the big screen then it would seem only fitting that the object of his affection (or ire, depending on what what mood he is swinging towards) should be there next to him, letting everyone know that the villainous girls can be just as crazy as the fellas. Batman is a pop-culture icon, and it seems like only a matter of time before he gets another solo outing to light-up our multiplexes. Here's hoping his strong form on film continues, and that his showdown with Superman doesn't leave him too burned out for some more big-screen adventures. What do you think?
