2. Some Of The Awkward Comedy Actually Works

Though the majority of the film's attempts at humour really don't work at all, there are a few beats that actually do hit the mark, mining the inherent awkwardness of Batman being thrown into so many bizarre scenarios.

From Batman walking in on Harley and Nightwing fooling around to him tapping his finger along to Harley's singing and a genuinely hilarious conversation with an over-eager Booster Gold, there are a few moments of dry comedy that really work.

It's just a shame these moments don't match the tone of the rest of the film, and the better gags are largely suffocated beneath the aforementioned toilet humour.
