Batman & Harley Quinn Review: 3 Ups & 8 Downs

3. The Tone Is All Over The Place

Batman And Harley Quinn Oh My Balls
Warner Bros.

When this movie comes to an end, it's really hard to figure out exactly who it was made for: it's got bizarre jokes about politics clearly aimed at adults, while there's a ton of juvenile humour, flatulent and otherwise, not to mention the aforementioned cringe-worthy sex scene and generally sexist tone that's more likely to appeal to teenage boys.

Then there's a ton of goofy humour on top of all this, including a scene where words fly up on screen in order to lamely mimic the "Pow!" fight graphics of the 1960s Batman TV series.

The film's tone flies in so many disparate directions, attempting to cater to numerous types of Batman fans in one fell swoop, but probably ends up satisfying none of them, in honesty.
