Batman & Harley Quinn Review: 3 Ups & 8 Downs

2. The Action Is Totally Forgettable

At least it's got good action, right? Nope. The opening fight between Harley and Nightwing is about as good as it gets, but the set-pieces are actually pretty infrequent for the most part, and Batman barely does any fighting at all in his own damn movie.

Even the epic final battle is totally underwhelming, being unexpectedly cut short and never delivering action that is in any way memorable or exciting. Again, budget limitations probably play a part in this, but that's no excuse for a Batman movie of any kind skimping out on the set-pieces.

By the time a fight between Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy ends when Harley turns on the water works, you know you're watching a very, very bad movie.
