If you didn't think Michelle Pfeiffers portrayal of Catwoman was feisty enough, perhaps it will change your mind when you find out she went through 60 cat-suits, each at a cost of $1,000, all within a 6 month period! This is partially due to the fact she tried to step in front of the camera and do her stunts whenever possible, especially her own whipping, which she had begun practicing months ahead of shooting, and in one case even managed to hit and cut her trainers face, luckily he was kind enough to carry on teaching her... Now if that wasn't enough, once she had put the costume on, which I can imagine to be quite a struggle, I mean lets be honest - it's practically a gimp suit- she was then vacuum sealed into it. The effect/look that Burton wanted was obviously achieved as it made her appear more slender and heightened the sex appeal she already had, however the downfall to this genius was that it was very limiting on the amount of time she had to perform her scenes, as the tightness would cause her to become light headed and would cause her to almost pass out if she was in the costume for too long.
