Batman: Ranking Every Movie Batsuit From Worst To Best

17. The Camp One - Batman 1966

Pros: Purple is nice, isn't it? Great Bat-logo too, and of course, it came with some of the most incredible Bat-gadgets ever conceived.

Cons: WHY DOES IT HAVE PENCIL EYEBROWS?! And those gloves are more Catwoman than Batman. It's almost like the Joker has designed this as a joke and Batman just didn't actually realise.

If ever there was any doubt that the 1960s Batman was intended to be camp and fabulous, you need only look at the costume, completely with make-up and opera gloves. That is not going to inspire fear in anyone other than massive homophobic bigots, possibly.

Incredibly, this suit lasted not only a film but also 120 episodes on TV, and while it's not the most functional or the most fitting to Batman, it did suit the high-camp hysterics of Adam West and co. He would have probably looked silly being as daft as he was without the purple, the giant underpants and the satin cape.
