Batman Reboot: 5 Villains Who Must Appear And Who Should Play Them

Robin Williams as Hugo Strange

Whether we like it or not, there is going to be a Batman reboot and according to writer David S Goyer, it will be a completely new take on The Caped Crusader. As movie fans, we will have to accept that it will not be the exact same tone as Nolan's universe if this movie is to tie into Justice League, but that doesn't necessarily prevent a good movie being made. For this movie to achieve greatness however, chief among the requirements is the need for a truly great villain. Even Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy needed the appearance of The Joker to take it to the next level, and whoever tackles this reboot faces the unenviable task of appeasing fans who want something even more impressive. Luckily, Batman has one of the most interesting rogue galleries in comic book history, which of course offers abundant opportunities to make a really interesting Batman film with either a new take on a previous villain, or a completely new one altogether. And whatever the approach, casting is going to be a hugely important factor in the potential success of the project. So, with that in mind, this article will take you through my picks for the next antagonist to tackle with The World's Greatest Detective in his upcoming reboot...
