10. Doomsday
There have been rumours that Callan Mulvey is playing Doomsday. There have been rumours that Michael Shannon is playing Doomsday. Even if neither of those are true, it certainly sounds like Doomsday may be in the film. So we have Scoot McNairy without a role and a role without an actor...
The role really is a doozy. In the comics, Doomsday is a genetically-engineered Kyptonian monster, whose most famous exploit involved beating Superman to death. Hes a giant presence in Supermans world, a huge threat to him and very much an unstoppable force of nature.
Despite all of that, unless Doomsday has a civilian alter-ego like in Smallville, it would seem unlikely that McNairy is playing him. And if he was playing the giant rocky monster, he would likely be in a full motion capture suit as opposed to a pair of socks. A role this brutish almost seems like a waste of McNairys talents, and wouldnt give him much space to return down the line, but seeing the paltry McNairy portray an eight-foot tall beast could be a sight to behold.
