Batman V Superman: 10 Characters Scoot McNairy Could Be Playing

6. Jack Ryder

By day, Jack Ryder is a famous reporter, but he is better known for his bizarre, yet well-intentioned, alter-ego The Creeper. Transformed by an experimental formula of drugs, he€™s given physical enhancements and healing powers at the cost of a crazy alternate personality.

Clearly the Creeper doesn€™t fit into the ultra-serious DCCU, but with Clark working in the news industry, it stands to reason that Ryder could be one of his co-workers at the Daily Planet. Better yet, his presence as an outspoken talk-show host lends itself well to a film where public debate on superheroes seems to be a focal point. Whether advocating for or against Superman, the public needs a singular voice to represent their interests.

Ryder was almost name-dropped in Man Of Steel, and it would make sense if the higher-ups were waiting for an actor like Scoot McNairy to bring him to life. McNairy is not know for his charismatic, outgoing performances, but playing against type could make the character all the more fascinating. The look certainly isn't far off, anyway.
