The Concern: Put simply, Doomsday looks like crap. Like a castoff from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, its hard to get excited about such an important antagonist when he looks the way he does. Beyond that, its a little disheartening that Doomsday is playing out exactly how the rumours suggested; Zods corpse is experimented upon and transforms into the raging monster. Its certainly a new take on the creature, but that doesnt make it a welcome one. Why Theres Still Hope: Typically, one of the last things to get finished on a movie is the CGI and with Batman V Supermans release still months away, its a safe assumption that Doomsdays appearance is not finished yet. Theres still a lot of time for him to get a lot closer to his comic book counterpart. As for his inclusion, if it were kept hidden, when the movie eventually premiered, everyone would be complaining about Doomsday being kept a secret when everyone already knew about him. DC is owning up to his inclusion, not trying to conceal it and thats something you dont see a lot of in todays blockbuster culture. The most promising tidbit in all of this is the potential for a Death Of Superman adaptation in some form, which could be a very welcome inclusion to the climax of the film. Has the trailer got you worried? Or do you think the concerns for the film have been overblown? Let us know in the comments.
