Batman V Superman: 10 Reasons Man Of Steel Is Better
7. It's Shorter & More Coherent
Length may be a fairly arbitrary compliment and/or complaint about a movie, especially as Man of Steel is just 10 minutes shorter than Batman v Superman, but it sure as hell doesn't feel as wearisome and exhausting.
Man of Steel may have an excessive scene every now and then, but most of the character development and world-building has at least something interesting to take away.
Batman v Superman on the other hand is really all over the place in this regard. Subplots involving Lois Lane and Scoot McNairy's paraplegic Wayne Tower employee are unconvincing additions at best that simply bloat out the narrative, and countless nightmare and dream sequences could easily have been saved for the Director's Cut.
There's just no discipline to the overall shape of the film in BvS: it panickedly leaps around from scene to scene, often without rhyme or reason, whereas Man of Steel feels much more fully-formed and of a complete whole.
