Batman V Superman: 10 Reasons Troy Baker Would Be The Perfect Joker
3. Hes Had Plenty Of Comic Book Experience
Comic book fans are unique. We have high expectations of characters that we have all fallen in love with, and any actor would have to be extremely brave to take on a comic book role these days. Weve already spoken about the tirade of abuse Ben Affleck received in backlash from fans when he was cast. The internet makes it easy for fans to vent their feelings on casting mistakes or advocate who they think is right for the role. Many fans have been won over by Bakers performance in recent games and TV shows, but there is bound to be a contingent of unhappy fans who will criticise every potential candidate for a comic book role. Baker is familiar with these fans; he has voiced Marvel and DC characters in a plethora of games, shows and films. He has attended numerous Comic-Conventions and clearly understands the level of loyalty comic fans have to their favourite characters. It takes a thick skin to take the kind of criticism comic book fans can dish out, especially over the internet, and Baker is clearly able to take this criticism on the chin.
