Batman V Superman: 10 Rumours That Are Definitely Bullsh*t
5. Benedict Cumberbatch Is One Of The Villains
I'm not buying it. This is just Benedict Cumberbatch having a little fun with the press. They ask him, "Are you the baddie in Batman v Superman?" He doesn't say whether he is or he isn't, and so they assume that he is. Because that's the foundation of all accurate reporting. To be fair, there are a lot of times when actors or actresses 'can't confirm' their involvement in projects, even when we know they're part of the movie. But this one just doesn't seem likely, especially with Cumberbatch now signed on with Marvel to play Doctor Strange. There've been plenty of stars who've appeared in both DC and Marvel movies, so you can't completely rule him out just based on that. But usually it's Warner Bros signing someone who's been in a Marvel movie, and not the other way around. If Warner Bros wanted him to play a villain in Dawn of Justice, they'd want at least the possibility of him returning in the future. So if Marvel's given him a multi-picture deal for Doctor Strange, the chances of him making an appearance in even one DCEU movie in the next few years must be next to none.
Movie / TV enthusiast with a DVD and Blu-ray collection bigger than I'd care to admit. If anyone is offering creative / furniture solutions to house them, I'm all ears.
