What, above all else, do the fans really want to see in a Batman V Superman trailer? Well, in a nutshell, the answers in the movies title. Pitching two of popular cultures most revered characters against each other has billion-dollar box office event written all over it, and no one will be satisfied until some proper footage emerges of a throwdown between the two. Seeing more than a glimpse of Batman and Superman go mano a mano is surely too much to hope for in the first trailer, but fans will settle for a taste of the action. The two didnt share a frame of the Comic Con footage, yet this briefest of teasers was enough to whip the crowd into a frenzy six months ago. The recent Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer managed to fit in a few shots of the Hulk squaring off against Iron Man in full Hulkbuster regalia, and although production on that movie is way ahead of Dawn Of Justice, Zack Snyder knows what everyone wants to see. Unless those rumours about a two-part Justice League intro are on the money (and probably even then), fans still have more than a year to go before the mother of all fights begins.
