Batman V Superman: 18 Easter Eggs & Theories On The Soundtrack Titles
4. Vigilante (Bonus Track)
Now, there's every possibility that this title refers only to the line spoken in the trailer that This Bat vigilante is a one-man reign of terror before Laurence Fishburne's Perry White lectures Clark Kent that: You dont get to decide what the right thing is. Who cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman! In that sense, the vigilantes would be three fold: all of Batman, Superman and Clark Kent are in their own way vigilantes after all. But what if the "vigilante" in the title refers to an actual character? Bailey Chase's so far unnamed character and his revelation that he was put through riding and gun training for a cool supporting role spun the rumour mill into thinking he might be playing Adrian Chase (no relation), AKA Vigilante, a DA who was forced to take justice in his own hands. He was basically reinvented as a non-lethal Punisher, having started off life as a gunslinging cowboy son of a sheriff. It's a fairly wild theory, but what if the horses briefly shown in the trailer refer to a new version of Vigilante (or at least just Adrian Chase) who is presented as a Sheriff in one of the side storylines?
