Actors need to be very careful these days when it comes to discuss details of what theyre working on; just like Michael Shannon, all they need to do is make a joke or drop a small detail and their words will get twisted into oblivion Case in point is Jeremy Irons, who simply said that his version of Alfred will be a bit more physically active in the story. Within days that had been distorted into a fan theory that Irons isnt playing Alfred but Bruce Wayne, who is trying Ben Afflecks unnamed character to be his replacement. There isnt any need for official comments on this rumour, as its so ridiculous it doesnt need to be commented on. Irons simply hinted that Alfred might have a fight or two, not that hes secretly Batman. There are no secrets hiding in plain sight here; Ben Affleck is playing Bruce Wayne and Batman, and Irons is Alfred.
