Batman V Superman: 8 Major Reveals About The Dark Knight From The New Images

2. What Kind Of Gun Is That?

Another major talking point about Batman so far has been the fact that this version of the Dark Knight appears to use guns. Comic book fans will know that he has a strict no-gun policy after what happened to his parents, so it's easy to appreciate why some of the previously released images and footage has upset some. However, we now know that those aren't firearms, but what the book calls "grapnel guns." Handmade by Bruce and Alfred, Batman actually uses these for a variety of purposes. That includes using them to propel himself up the side of tall buildings (something those of you who have played the Arkham video games will be familiar with) and to swing between buildings, something we've so far only seen the character do in the comic books. However, while these grapnel guns don't fire bullets, they can be used as a weapon. The hero can use them to take down enemies non lethally at close range or to create traps which can be used to trip or confuse those he comes in contact with. Again, there's no reason to think this Batman kills.
