Batman V Superman: 8 Plot Twists No One Will See Coming

8. Batman Works For Lex Luthor

It's often said that every villain sees themselves as the hero of their own story, but what if Lex Luthor is Batman v Superman's hero? He'll of course still be a bad guy at heart, but if Zack Snyder and Chris Terrio have really made an effort to portray him in a very real and complex way, there's absolutely no reason to believe that we won't all come out of this movie with a lot to think about. After all, while Superman may have saved the world, his battle with General Zod killed thousands and it was the Man of Steel's fault that he was on Earth in the first place. Is Lex really so wrong for wanting rid of him? With that in mind, I would say that there's a very good chance that the billionaire owner of LexCorp will enlist Batman to take out Superman, even if it's through devious and manipulative means. There's been a lot of speculation about Lex pulling the strings (sending Batman that poison pen letter for example), but Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor possibly coming to some sort of agreement about the threat Superman poses makes a lot of sense, as does the Dark Knight seeking Luthor out for his assistance. Bear in mind that he's the one with the Kryptonite and a penchant for making armoured suits, so making him responsible for creating that armoured Batsuit - effectively making Lex and Batman allies - would come as a genuine surprise, but also a twist which logically works very well.
