4. Doomsday Kills Lois Lane

Regardless of who or what ends up being Doomsday (or whatever creature the heroes end up uniting to battle in the movie's final act), someone needs to die. Everyone who mattered - even, er, Jenny - emerged unscathed at the end of Man of Steel, so killing off a major supporting character in Batman v Superman would up the stakes in this world and no doubt leave everyone taken aback. There are a lot of possibilities when it comes to which character could and should bite the dust next March, but arguably the one no one would see coming is Lois Lane. When Batman v Superman kicks off, she and Clark Kent are happily living together in Metropolis, so why not shatter that bliss for Superman by having her taken out at some point in the movie? That may seem harsh, but it would give him a newfound purpose going into Justice League and his long rumoured sequel, and having Lois killed by Doomsday would be worth it for the shock factor alone. Like it or not, it would be a massive talking point, that's for sure. Of course, it would be a great shame to lose a strong female character like Lois Lane from this world, but I'm talking about moments and plot twists which no one would see coming, and this definitely fits the bill. Having her go out in the most heroic way possible would obviously be the best way to tackle this, and while it would no doubt be controversial, it could be great if handled properly.
