Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice - 10 Things You Need To Know

3. Why Batman Targets Superman

When Batman v Superman begins, Bruce Wayne will have been operating as a vigilante for over two decades. The trailer for the movie obviously revealed that a big part of why Batman decides to take down Superman is because of the destruction of Wayne Financial, something he clearly blames the Man of Steel for. In fact, a recent magazine feature described a scene featuring Bruce and his butler Alfred in the Batcave discussing Superman. The latter is apparently very sceptical about his boss€™s plans to launch a preemptive strike on Superman based on only a minimal chance that he€™s a threat to humanity, and it was said that this scene leads to something of a moral dilemma for Batman. It's not clear what pushes him over the edge, but those odd looking soldiers adorned with Superman's logo - who many believe are somehow tied to Lex Luthor - could play some sort of role in his decision. Whatever the case may be, that "moral dilemma" obviously doesn't stop him from suiting up to take down Superman. Ultimately though, it's the destruction of one his buildings and the fact that he loses even more of his "family" after failing Robin which seems to be the driving force for why Batman is put on a collision course with Superman.
