Another thing we get a bit more time spent on is Jeremy Irons Alfred. The actor's hinted he's a little more action-oriented than previous screen versions of the butler, and that's exactly what we see here; he's monitoring the Batwing's schematics and assessing Batman's targets, even coming up with plans on the fly...

...and, it seems, taking control of the ship (remotely of course - you can see the Batcave waterfall in the background). He whips out some joystick controls at the start and claims he's "dropping off". Well, I guess someone needs to take care of all Bruce's vehicles when he's kicking criminal butt.
