5. Doomsday & Zod

The various footage from the film has already given away that Doomsday is going to be dropping into the film at some point, forcing (at least) Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman to come together to stop him. Footage has also given away that Zod's corpse is in the film, undoubtedly in the possession of LexCorp. Speculation has run rampant that the two are linked, with Lex somehow using Zod's body to create Doomsday, but, of course, nothing will be confirmed until the film is finally out. Regardless of whether the two are linked or even if Zod's body is just a red herring, the inclusion of Doomsday in the film is something to look forward to because he's one Superman villain fans have been calling to see brought to life on the big screen for years. Previous Superman films have mainly relied on Lex and Zod to be their antagonists, and Doomsday will hopefully pave the way for villains like Brainiac, Metallo, or Darkseid to show up in the DCEU down the line. How he himself ultimately plays into the film - or even future films - is anyone's guess for now, but the mere fact he's finally offering something different is worth looking forward to.
