5. Shazam! (2019)

Shazam! is definitely the most difficult to predict in terms of how Batman v Superman will set it up. Shazam's alter-ego Billy Batson definitely won't be appearing in the film - that's for certain - so we can rule that out early. But there are other ways to at least foreshadow his arrival, however. The potential set-up will most likely come indirectly and via subtle links to the concept of magic - something yet to be explored this early in the franchise - and that will come through the inclusion of Wonder Woman in the movie. Like Shazam, Gal Gadot's character will be mystical in nature - though probably not based on the early comic book origins in which she was a clay statue mystically brought to life and more likely via being the daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus. That and the fact she will possess magical items (such as the Lasso of Truth) will prepare audiences somewhat for the coming of Shazam! Alternatively, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson already having been cast as Black Adam - and Black Adam's awakening likely to be the reason Billy Batson is called to become Shazam - it could be that The Rock has a post-credits awakening from his tomb in Batman v Superman.
