Batman V Superman's Release Delay Will Make It Better
Warner CEO Kevin Tsujihara is confident it was all for the best.

It was a tough decision at the time because it was going to create a hole in 2015. But it was absolutely the right decision for the franchise, for DC and the movie. Having seen the movie multiple times, and again last night, Im extremely confident it was the right decision to make the movie better. And its so important for the studio to get the foundation right on DC.2015 has been a little soft for Warner (Mad Max: Fury Road and San Andreas were successful but not huge), but it sounds like the choice to defer Batman V Superman for a year has resulted in a movie the studio are very proud of. The difference between a blockbuster which performs and a blockbuster that goes stratospheric is often qualitative, so it's definitely in Warner's interest to nail Batman V Superman as thoroughly as possible. The company's immediate future is resting on a foundation of DC projects, so getting things off to a smooth start is essential.
