2. Darkseid
Darkseid has appeared in classic comic arcs, animated movies and shows, and even on Smallville. When DC relaunched their titles as the New 52, Darkseid was the first large threat the Justice League faced together. His strength and reflexes are a problem for even Superman, though he only resorts to physical confrontation if his mind fails him. He is a master of manipulation and ruler of the military world of Apokolips. He has been known to have a keen interest in Supergirl who was possibly teased as a future character when we saw an empty pod left open in Man of Steel. Darkseid would be best suited to be teased in Batman vs. Superman and then introduced as the Justice League big bad. Darkseid is a major player in the DC universe so it would be ideal for him to appear before Thanos appears in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Thanos, of course was teased at the end of Marvel's Avengers and he shares considerable similarities with Darkseid in look, superpowers, and intergalactic havoc causing. But with the sequel officially titled Avengers: Age of Ultron, DC has a opportunity to get their character out first. Thanos is almost guaranteed to appear in the lesser known team up, Guardians of the Galaxy, but even if Thanos does appear, Darkseid would have a much bigger showcase in the Man of Steel sequel. DC would be smart to get their iconic villain out to audiences first. Darkseid is one of the most infamous villains in the DC universe and there's only one person that could appear higher on the list.
