Batman vs. Superman: 8 Actors Who Could Play The Riddler

1. Walton Goggins

Walton Goggins, whose underused charisma has been slowly building a fanbase from his TV work on The Shield and Justified ever since 2002, and he also proved that nonchalant sadism can come as second nature in his portrayal of Billy Crash in Django Unchained. He's disappeared behind flamboyant drag in Sons Of Anarchy and shared the role of "El Camaleon" in Machette Kills with Lady Gaga and Antonio Banderas, and he certainly has the credentials to make for a memorable Riddler. As no stranger to the wild side of cinema, and the perfect balance of comical darkness and unhinged ethics, Goggins would be a fantastic addition to the cast. Aside from the fact that his look (with his beady eyes and sinister smile) would make for an irresistible version of Edward Nygma, he has the kind of on-screen presence that begs for a role as considerable and villainous as the contemporary Riddler's deserves to be. The way he talks about coke and rape like he's reading the morning papers in Predators or how he dances around while preaching in Justified are only a couple of examples of why he'd be perfect. While all the other guys are appropriately suited to play a variety of modern Riddler versions, it feels like Goggins has a bit of all of the above and could tackle any version thrown at him: be it mass murderer, genius schemer or psychotic obsessive. For added incentive, they could make The Riddler's background from the South and Goggins would snarl his way into becoming one of the most memorable Batman villains ever. Like these choices?
