Batman Vs Superman Movie: 10 Beautiful Details It Must Have

1. The Contrast Between Two Worlds

Cinephiles love our characters to be multi-faceted, and according to Harvey Dent, "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." We love the darkness in our heroes, the flaws and imperfections, and we don't want anyone to just be black and white. But that's not the only contrast that's fascinating in Man Of Steel: there's the choice of solitude, family and friends, and we presume that the next film will elaborate on how letting Lois into his life will compromise Clark's self-imposed isolation. There's the aforementioned conflict between being an alien or being human, the disguises and the hiding who you really are, and the decision of who you really feel like: is he Superman, is he reporter Clark Kent, or is he an orphaned alien? The world of Superman is a diamond with a plethora of sides, of contradicting identities and grey morality, and this is something only hinted at in Man Of Steel, in favour of developing one character before branching off to establish other sides of his psyche. But surely adding a force such as Batman will tease more angles from Superman. Henry Cavill is capable of brilliantly-layered performances, and Batman Vs Superman certainly feels like his next one.
