Batman vs Superman Movie: 3 Reasons To Be Excited & 3 Reasons To Worry

2. The 2015 Date

Batman 2015 Before Batman was announced to be in the sequel I was a bit concerned that the film would be coming out in 2015 since that wouldn€™t give Goyer or Snyder a whole lot of time to make it, but those concerns eventually went away. After the announcement, however, my concerns came back because of the addition. This is because Goyer and Snyder said in numerous interviews they wanted to establish Superman€™s own franchise and do his own sequel before further establishing a greater DC Cinematic Universe. As I spoke a bit about in the last page, the studio€™s demand that Batman be in the sequel could now hinder their vision. Goyer has had a lot of time to come up with a story for the sequel and by now I€™m sure he€™s had a treatment and at least a rough draft of the script done. Now, however, Goyer will have to include Batman into the film, essentially rewriting a good portion of his script to naturally fit Batman in. That doesn€™t allow Goyer much time to write a finished draft if they were to start filming, say, the end of this year or start of 2014. If rumours that Bruce Wayne/Batman was going to cameo in the film anyway are true, let€™s hope it won€™t be that much of a problem for Goyer to write Batman into the rest of it.
