Age: 35 Having already played the dark hero Ozymandias for Snyder in Watchmen, Matthew Goode seems like a safe pick off the bat that might also end up surprising us when the movie finally opens. Goode has acting chops and an off-kilter charm that can translate well to both Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego. From playing characters like the sinister uncle in Park Chan-Wooks Stoker to Charles Ryder in Brideshead Revisited, Goode possesses a versatility that might result in a very different kind of Batman, one that might be able to function not just as a hero in his own right, but also as an antagonist in the piece. We expect Superman to eventually match wits with Lex Luthor, but what if Snyder has decided to mentally task the Kryptonian with a mastermind Dark Knight? Sure, he's a little less burly and imposing physically, but there's a haunted quality in the eyes that works for the character. What do you think of these early suggestions?
